Fairview Youth
Fairview’s mission is to nurture lives to stand in Christ at every step, and we believe this means that every student should be actively seeking to nurture and be nurtured in Christ no matter where they are in faith or life.
We are convinced that this mission is best accomplished through the strategy, worship - develop - serve. This strategy calls every Fairview covenant partner (member) to (1) regularly worship God on Sunday mornings and through the week, (2) regularly develop as a disciple through one of our ministries (adult ministries are listed below) and/or through a discipleship relationship, and (3) regularly serve Fairview as well as the surrounding community and world.

Get Involved
Weekly
6th - 12th Grade
Small Groups are groups of 4-8 students who meet weekly to foster community and to grow with Jesus. These groups are led by by 1-2 Fairview covenant partners (members) and last for 75 minutes of hangout, games, dinner, and Bible discussion. Small groups are the core of Fairview Youth.

6th - 12th Grade
Sunday School classes tackle the important topics and questions of the Bible and the modern day. Classes discuss everything from biblical books and themes to theology and living as a Christian today.

Monthly
6th - 12th Grade
Worship Sundays are once monthly combined gatherings of Fairview Youth’s Small Groups for a time of worship and learning together. Each Worship Sunday will include singing songs of praise to God and the introduction of a new discussion series for Small Groups.

Connection Points are once monthly combined gatherings of Fairview Youth’s Small Groups for fun and fellowship through activities like movie nights and laser tag.

Annually
6th - 8th Grade
Confirmation is the process by which youth become covenant partners (members) of Fairview, and it instructs teens in the core beliefs of Christianity and our Reformed heritage. The process concludes with a formal declaration of faith before Fairview’s elders and with the teens’ confirmation as covenant partners of the church and baptism (if not already baptized).

6th - 12th Grade
Service Opportunities are taken up twice a year and are all about putting our faith into practice. Being Jesus’s hands and feet is a critical way that God forms us as disciples, and we know that, without works, our faith is dead.
Our service opportunities usually involve helping one of Fairview’s covenant partners (members) or one of Fairview’s partner ministries

6th - 12th Grade
Discipleship Now is an annual weekend winter retreat put on by a partnership of churches in our region. We gather each year for games, worship, teaching, and discussion.

9th - 12th Grade
Fall Retreat is a new weekend getaway starting in the fall of 2022. This year we will be combining with the youth group at First Presbyterian Church (Greenville, SC), and in future years we hope to include other ECO youth groups in our presbytery (South Carolina).

6th - 8th Grade
The Great Escape is a week of summer camp packed full of recreation and activities as well as dynamic speakers, musicians, and other artists who communicate in real ways to students today. It is a place where can students feel comfortable and loved as they experience the love of Jesus Christ.

9th - 12th Grade
Fun in the Son is of summer camp where high schoolers get to hang out at the beach, hear engaging speakers share about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and worship our great God alongside the band. It’s a place for quality time with one another and Jesus.
